Fresh off his win in the Rattle Magazine Singer/Songwriter Competition, James Cook, of Wichita Falls, TX recorded at the legendary Fort Worth Sound for the Rattle Studio Sessions. Cook described the experience as "a collection of music I have wanted to record, stripped down to an acoustic guitar, my wife and myself. Bart Rose gave us a good path and a relaxed atmosphere to do so. Fort Worth Sound had an uncritical energy that allowed us to create this EP." James followed that EP up with another called, Lullaby for the Rapture. The lead single, "Flat, Foolish and Despised" performed well at Texas radio and James is now gearing up for his next, "Failure's Not An Option".
James Cook is a big supporter of the Wichita Falls community and beyond. Each show of his "Failure's Not An Option Tour" will benefit the local chapters of Big Brothers Big Sisters.
With a suitcase in one hand and a guitar in the other, James Cook, is the working man's Americana artist.
